Dr Julia Lewandowska has been awarded a research grant Sonata 16 by the National Science Centre Poland (NCN). Between 2021-2024 Lewandowska will carry out a research project entitled The Mother Tongue: Textuality, Authority and Community in the Post-Teresian Reform Female Monasticism (ca. 1560–1700).

Sobre Escritoras Monjas Libro: ‘Escritoras monjas: autoridad y autoría en la escritura conventual femenina de los Siglos de Oro’ presenta la creación de diecisiete escritoras religiosas, monjas y beatas, de los siglos XVI y XVII, hasta ahora poco estudiadas o prácticamente desconocidas, aportando nuevas referencias bibliográficas y material original sobre la espiritualidad de las mujeres de la Alta Edad Moderna y las primeras tradiciones literarias femeninas en el mundo ibérico.
Julia Lewandowska analiza la autoría y autoridad literarias femeninas en el contexto del monacato hispánico, trazando un amplio panorama de la antropología cultural, política y religiosa de los Siglos de Oro.
